This painting was created during a painting workshop I attended to learn and gain experience. However, to my shame, I still did everything my way and simply followed the suggested subject. Done in a hurry, but there are moments in it where my mood managed to "jump" onto the canvas and freeze in the paint.
My admiration for Van Gogh’s work is clearly visible — not everyone may agree, but to me, it’s so.
As for the subject, the lighthouse, to me, is a symbol of resilience and commitment to one's path. Despite the solitude, its almost hermit-like location, any storm or natural disaster, it continues to function, fulfilling its duty. Not for itself, but to help and save others, those who cannot do without it.
